Re: Fuel tank removal

I wondered about that possibility myself, although I haven't yet had any
problem with my alternator. When my fuel gauge sender had a slow leak,
there were no drips on the garage floor, but I could smell the gas leak.
Closer inspection revealed a drip of gas hanging from the bottom of the
alternator. Perhaps gas never got inside, but if I do have an alternator
problem, even if it shortly after the warranty runs out, you can bet the
leaky sender will be brought into the discussion.
