I'm a member but infrequently attend any meetings. The AGM's are usually
a
hoot, lot's of test rides etc (just about all the bike manufacturers
attend),
so I normally just go to them. Other advantages are discounted insurance
etc
etc. I wouldn't advise going on one of their organised rides if you're at
all 'sports' oriented. They are 'stick to the speed limit' kinda guys and
if
you overtake the ride leader you may as well resign from the club :O)
This
thing to Tassie should be cool, we've got virtually the entire ferry from
Sydney booked and then there's approx 5,000 old farts who've had too much
to
drink to contend with once we get there!

OMG!!! You've never heard of Ulysses???

Junior membership is available at the age of 40.
A great bunch of crusty old buggers and their significant others, welcomed
wherever they go, the bashes they hold are legendary. I know a few
members, but
I'm not eligible myself for a few years.
I believe a few people on this list are members.
