[ST] OFF-LIST Re: Delayed emails?

In a previous email, Rupert Galea stated:
> If there is a problem with delayed emails that can be documented let
> me know and I will open a ticket with dreamhost.

Rupert,
This is something that I had compiled looking at some of the emails from
the past few days. I had sent this to Matt Heyer who was insisting that
it was Dreamhost's fault.

It's tough to tell from just those where the problem may lie. Although
the delay is happening at Dreamhost, the originating email is coming
from yahoo which is a previously known base for spammers. Dreamhost may
be sitting on it for a bit to make sure that it is not spam.

However here are some others (my notes are preceded by ;//):

A server in South Africa sat on this one for 9 minutes. This is a
recurring one with this poster (Marc Van Est):

A perfect example of screwy times, these are copied directly in the
(reverse)order that they appear. This is a recurring one in posts from
Martin Fay:

The sending server, or in the transmission process? Unfortunately, time

Same as the last one and at about the same time. There are a few more

I think that's enough for now. If you still have the last two posts
saved maybe you can check the headers and see if it was dreamhost or
comcast that sat on it. The posts are
