One of the other bikes I keep thinking of was a KLR that someone was
modding for the USMC to run on anything...  literally!  They wanted it
to be able to use Diesel, Jet fuel, kerosene, or gasoline, IIRC.  This
sounded promising for the general public, until you saw that the
conversion kit they were using to modify the KLR cost around $30k...
