I should have checked the website before asking question that could
have been answered so easily. The Tuneboy can be used in diagnostic
mode with any bike, but to upload maps requires a separate key for
each ECU. I probably don't need to check what tune is currently
installed, I know that it is old.
The diagnostic capabilities are not entirely useless, however.
According to the Tuneboy website: "The virtual dash has a button to
reset the closed throttle position and a + and - button to allow
adjustment of the Idle fuel trim (commonly referred to as CO
adjustment)." That could possibly be useful as well.
I hadn't really looked at the Tuneboy stuff before, it looks quite
interesting, probably well worth the $310 for the starter kit. I've
certainly paid more for less when modifying cars before...
