G'day Harry,
Sounds like a nice trip; I'd like to take a month and do a tour of your side
of the world one of these days.
In addition to the other advice, I would recommend beefing up your tool kit.
The one that comes with the bike is a joke. Get a smallish socket wrench
and a mix of sockets (don't forget a 17mm socket for the chain tension
adjuster; I just realized it was missing from my kit). The kit should fit
in the tray under the seat; just having it with you should prevent most
major problems from happening (it scares the gremlins off).
Bring chain lube and use it periodically, maybe every 5th stop for gas; also
make sure the chain is adjusted properly.
Check your tyre wear; if they are close to the wear bars, go ahead and
replace them. The only thing worse than dealing with a flat tyre on a trip
is trying to get new tyres put on when MC shops are sparse.
I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures!

I'd suggest that if you're not in the habit of regularly oiling the control
cables (Throttle & Clutch) you buy yourself a hydraulic cable oilier and
pump fresh clean oil right through the cables. It's amazing how much easier
it is to ride a bike with well lubed cables and a broken or seized cable can
be a show stopper.
It might also be worth considering adding a puncture preventative to the
tyres.
A roadside puncture can be a PITA with a fully laden bike, unfamiliar roads
and a pee'd off SWMBO.
I've successfully used Ultra Seal and OKO.
HTH,
Howlin'
