I'm getting a "clunk" from my cush drive, and its almost as if its in an
eccentric orbit now. Its kinda hard to describe, but I'm thinking MAYBE
this is related to chain tension?

You are the one with the RS I take it. My RS had the rear hub go
eccentric at 30,000. Upon inspection by the Triumph mechanic it was
finally decided that it was a defect of some kind from the factory. My
warranty was out only by a week or two, but Triumph replaced it as in
warranty. Thank God for that because the new hub was around 300.00 if I
remember right. Sent thee old one to them for inspection, but don't
know what ever came of it.. I'm curious, how many miles on yours before
you realized this. and then have any ST owners had the same happen?
