Just my thought on the matter: if I HAD to give up the Sprint, I would get
an Aprilia Falco. Good looks and great engine. Similar ergonomics. The
rest of the bikes in this class/niche are crappy.

I can relate to the "Origami look" comments.
What they did to the Honda VFR is pretty much criminal. It was a close
second to the Sprint till this past year. Then all kinds of sharp edges and
angles and ...... yuck. (let alone that silly VTEC extra valves at 7 thou
thing!)
If I had to give up the Sprint, where would I go?
Tiger probably. It would fit the bill for riding, but also has a kinda
...... cool, or at least different and unique ..... look to it. Maybe go to
a Moto Guzzi. But It's still hard to beat the Sprint look. Either ST or RS.
