Rupert,
It seems you always "a bit confused", so that's normal. (j/k!)
I had GMD Computrack do my fork rebuild for me, despite being a Class A
machinist. I had considered doing it myself, but after attending a
suspension seminar at his shop and seeing the "master" at work, I felt it
was worth the added expense to have a truly knowledgeable and experience
technician with ALL the right tools and parts do it for me.
Oh...and he upgraded from stock 8wt fork oil to a 10wt Silkolene. Together
with the correct length Penske 8981 rear shock (finally) my bike now rides
more surefooted than EVER, and I am *very* pleased with the results. Good
luck with your rebuild!

I am planning on installing Race Tech cartridge emulators and springs this
weekend. I looked at http://www.triumphnet.com/st/acc/racetech/index.htm
and I am a bit confused. Race Tech's literature recommends 15wt oil but
people seem to be using 5wt. What am I missing?
Rupert
