[ST] ST related - signal generator and pre-amp

Ok I am sure there must be an electronics engineer or two out there
:-)
This is what I want to achieve.
1. I have an Autocom Pro M1 rider/pillion (and bike to bike) unit.
2. I have a Datatool Turn Alert
3. I have a Garmin GPS V
4. The Datatool Turn Alert has an LED which flashes (as well as a
buzzer/beeper) when 20 flashes of the turn signal are exceeded. It
seems to me that it must be possible to use the LED output, via a
signal generator, to provide a tone to the Autocom into the music
port (which caters for the output from a MD/CD player) thus enhancing
the effectiveness of the buzzer/beeper.
5. The GPS V has generates a "beep" when in the proximity of a
pre-programmed turn and the display changes. I envisage taping a
small microphone over the "beeper" and, via a pre-amp, providing the
beep to the Autocom into the music port.
If anyone can suggest a device or send me a _simple_ circuit diagram
of what I need to achieve my objectives I would be extremely
grateful. BTW a 12 volt power source is provided :-)
Thanks.
