Yup, same here. I think I am going to have to get a second bike
for that. Personally I think the sweetest sound twin is the
TL1000's. I personally prefer the S.
As far as the gentlemen who prefers the Buels over the Triumphs
and frankly thinks Triumphs are boring. I would highly recommend
you get a bike that has some real HP. Get a ZX9r, R1, GSX1000r,
ZX12r. Basically a bike that in stock form will put > 130 HP between
your legs. Slip on a after market can, fatten it up a bit, and you
have all the character you will can handle. Although those examples
are still pretty damn reliable, sorry.
Of course if you want a bike that can damn near keep up with a F4
on a twistie road, have fitted luggage, and will allow you to do
over 7000 miles in a day over 2 weeks. Oh wait, get more positive
comments than any other bike I've ridden in public. Then the Sprint
ST is the bike for you.
I went from on of the fastest bikes (for that matter vehicles)
produced in '99 to one with about 30 less HP, and frankly I have
absolutely no regret. Yeah it was cool to laugh a vipers at stop
lights, but I can still keep up to me. And I still got pulled over
twice on my trip, luckily both resulted in warnings :-)
As far as this being a boring list, AFAIK am concerned the ST/RS
list is by far filled with some of the best people riding bikes
that are literate enough to turn on a computer. And for the record,
I like the humour, if it is not even MC related.
