The bungie must run under the seat and there's a new bracket on each bag??
I guess it wouldn't be noticeable with the bags in the way, but don't you
worry about what a loose bungie could do if it got caught in the wheel or
chain. Sounds a bit like it could be a quick recipe for a lowside if the
bungie was tough enough to interfere with the rear wheel rotation, even if
only for a moment.
My panniers are too new to worry about now, but I'd like to do something
proactive.
