I've got the BMW accessory->cig lighter adapter part and it's wired
in nicely, so I can just leave it on.
The GPS in the picture is a III Pilot, and isn't quite what I want
for land nav, so I went out and bought an eMap, which has some nice
features. If only the StreetPilot was smaller...:)
The eMap does most of what I want, including finding an address, a
city, a freeway exit, an intersection, parks, food places, etc with
the CD-ROM package. It's pretty cool. I've found that Garmin mapping
is missing just one thing, and that is building routes that
automatically follow roads instead of going point to point.
Both the eMap and III screens are a little bigger than a business
card, not huge, but functional. The StreetPilot screen is bigger, but
then the whole unit probably wouldn't fit between the bars, it's
pretty big.
