Hi Ian.
Good luck with the epoxy. I glued a "fender extender" (purchased from JL)
on my 1996 non-ST Sprint. I first drilled a few 1/4" holes the extender to
give the adhesive something to key into, roughed up the surface of the
extender and the inside of the fender/mudguard with sandpaper, then used
automotive "goop" to stick it on. I clamped it in place while the "goop" set.
Reason for using goop over epoxy? Goop is still flexible when set, and as a
solvent-based (toluene) adhesive I figured it had a better chance of
"keying" into the polyolefin resin that the extender seems to be made of.
Hope this helps,
