I really cannot recommend the Triumph Veto alarm. It has failed to disarm
twice, due to radio interference when I had parked in line of sight from
transmitters. The first time, I was at least a mile away from the
transmitter, but the alarm would not disarm. It took me several days,
international phone calls to Triumph and Datatool and quite a lot of parking
fines before I got the bike started again. I wrote to Datatool afterwards
about it and received no reply, but they knew before I called them that
there was a problem.
My original battery also lost its charge after I had left the bike standing
for a week. The battery was replaced under guarantee. Maybe it was a bad
battery, maybe it was somehow related to the alarm, even though
theoretically that isn't possible.
Get a big chain instead.

Any thoughts on the alarm system?
