Richard,
You're one of the first to second my thoughts about the ST without bags ---
I know that a lot on the list like the look and function of the bags --- but
I'm staying away from them. I just ordered a great pair of soft luggage
bags from Chase Harper through Andy Goldfine's Aerostitch company and I'm
going to be testing them out on a cross country trip to Oregon in 2 weeks.
Being able to pop the bags off and NOT have the clutter of the remaining
support brackets is really nice --- my next project is to get that sloppy
rear end cleaned up by cutting off the plastic fender with a Dremel, tucking
in (or replacing with flush mounts) the turn signals and hanging the license
plate just under the tail light --- I think that will really clean up the
lines.
Enjoy 'Double Trouble'----- and if you don't do anything else, check/reroute
that ignition wiring and get it away from the binding/chafing clutch
cable!!!!!
