I use a spray polish from Honda. I call it Honda polish, I think it is
called Spray Cleaner or something..
I never owned a Honda, but they do make good polish. Caustic Oven cleaners
(containing Lye= sodium hydroxide) will definetely remove the gleam from
your aluminum.
Prehaps some oven cleaner are non-caustic. I would stick with motorcycle
polish or car polish
and some Kerosene or WD-40 for the really nasty bits.
I have not had too much chance to investigate the ST that left me stranded.
Except that I checked the battery cables and the positive side needed about
1/4 turn for absolute tightness. How very undefinative. I need to ride it
around my shop area to see if that was the cause. Thank you for all your
suggestions.
