Re: [ST] New Tiger on nill orders?

Shouldn't have to wait very long to find out. The first ones should be in
US showrooms sometime in January.

I'm hoping that they will make an 'adventurer' version that is closer to
what I think I want, but don't want to pay a BMW premium for.

Frankly, I'm excited by the bike. Adjustable close to premium suspension,
radial brakes, new frame, what looks like a wide flat seat and decent
seating position, great motor and usable power, hard bags and a good price.
It's only a couple hundred more than I paid for my '99 ST.

I like my wife's '05 tiger which has the steeper steering head angle,
uprated motor, new swingarm and road oriented cast wheels and tires. It
really rocks in the twisties, but I don't find it very comfortable for long
distances - too much wind buffeting and the seat is uncomfortable for me (my
wife thinks it's the ultimate in comfort, and since it's her bike...). I'm
hoping the new Tiger has solved those small problems for me, and if no-one
else likes it, the prices should be nicely affordable by fall.

Dan Wallander.
