Re: [ST] Low Speed Damage

Matt,
I took my SkyKing's off and replaced them with LSL's just in time to do a
live fire test. I was in the left of three lanes in heavy traffic when my
allergies kicked up with the help of a lot of exhaust fumes. My left eye
shut down with tears and by the time I got to the right and stopped I was
blind in both eyes. I've got a defective inner ear and need my eyes for
balance so down goes the bike. I repainted the alternator cover (about 15
minutes and looks better than new) and had scratches on my left bag that you
can hardly notice after wiping with Armor All. The frame slider did it's
job, just a bit rough if you look at it close.

I switched to LSL's after hearing the stories on frame cracks using SkyKing
and seeing them after a very low speed accident on an RS. The SkyKings are
probably OK and the frame breaks probably would have happened anyway. I
just like the LSL design at the mount point. R&G also makes sliders that
really look good too.
