Hi
Just back from a five day trip through France - 2,552 miles in five
days of riding (including a personal 'furthest ridden in a day
record' of 750 on last day...) taking in half of the Pyrenees (from
middle to east coast at Perpignan) and the French Alps in the Alpes-
Martimes region (i.e. north of Nice, South of Grenoble). Needless to
say was a great ride, and the ST was great to ride.
Will write up a trip report later this week. In the interim, some
(currently captionless) photos of the trip can be found here - http://
lawrie.smugmug.com/gallery/841015 If you have a look, do let me have
your comments.
While on topic of French mountain passes... saw in the latest edition
of 'Torque' that someone in France offers a '100 cols in two days'
organised ride - unable to imagine how this is possible, does anyone
know anything about the route this takes?
Finally, noticed in same issue that Torque (and RAT) is becoming a
free good - perhaps they read the thread in this forum a while back
about it being not very good value for money.
Best regards
Gavin Lawrie
