I laid my new (3000 miles) RS down the morning after I purchased it. The front fairings were trashed. They are plastic, I just bought new ones from the dealer, it hurt, but not as bad as rebuilding them. The attach brackets did not break and needed some tweaking during re-assembly. The bike looks new again. There are body parts on e-bay all the time, if you are more patient than me. Before you start, at least get the price so you at least know how much you are working for...

I had a rear slide out on my right side in November, and the insurance
company totalled my bike. 2003 ST (5000 miles)
