All you need is some jerk to move a little or pop the door and you
impersonate superman.
It's just as insane as staying in a lane and having some cell phone
talking, coffee drinking idiot rear end you. I personally know several
people who have been rear ended. I don't know anyone who has been hit
lane splitting.
Lane splitting is like anything else, you can do it safely or
recklessly. Personally, I think if you don't have the skill to navigate
between a row of parked cars that are 6' apart, you probably shouldn't
be on a motorcyle in the first place.
I'm just glad that I don't have anywhere nearby that I even need to
think about lane splitting anymore.
