[ST] Rider Magazine rides the Lost Coast

The new issue of Rider Magazine has an article by Clement Salvadori
that covers my backyard. Damn if he didn't find and ride some roads
that I figured were my little secret.
If you get the magazine, check out the map. Find Grizzly Bluff Rd. I
live three houses away from Grizzly Bluff, and when I was working at
home, my regular lunch time ride consisted of Grizzly Bluff to Rio
Dell, then up Monument, across Bear River Ridge, and then back Matolle
Rd to Ferndale.
I'm glad he didn't wander on the other side of 101 and give away all my
secrets off of Hwy. 36.
If you're wondering about the architecture in Ferndale, we don't all
live in tiny houses. The photo of Ferndale is of a doll house on Main
Street that is inhabited by a family of stuffed bears. Hey, nobody said
this is a normal town.
But if the article inspires you to travel to the North Coast, look me
up. I may even give away some secrets that Clement doesn't know about.
And yes, most Ferndalers are charming.
