Dunlop is a Japanese concern, Lawrence, formerly British. Cooper Tires,
an American firm, owns Avon, also formerly a British marque. Metzler
and Pirelli are Italian. Continental is still German owned, I think.
Michelin is owned by our staunch allies, the French (Yech, patooey).
Most others are Japanese, to complete the circle. Confused yet?

I believe that Dunlop is the only U.S. manufacturer of motorcycle tires
left but I could be wrong.
