The break in oil gets changed at the 600 miles mark.
 
After that Triumph recommends 6000 miles intervals for full synthetic oil.
 
Any other kind of oil should likely be changed at 3000 miles.
 
I would also recommend changing the oil at least once per year and before putting your bike up for extended storage (more than 1 or 2 months).
 
All the other variables need to be taken into consideration too.  If you have been riding regularly in very hot or very cold temperatures, riding in dusty conditions, you like to race, etc the oil should be changed more often.
