I think the "test" against GPS & bike speedos are good enough (~1%) to say
that motorcycle speedos are almost always optimistic, usually around 7-9%.
Of coarse this depends on the particular bike and front tire.
My comparasons of the odometer against GPS and road signs have always
shown that it is accurate to 1-2%.
