Motolight has an excellent reputation for quality and warranty, with a
nice selection of it-already-fits mount choices.
since the bulb is running at pretty high temperatures itself [? ~1,500+F
?], the occasional couple of hundred degrees at the caliper mount
shouldn't hurt.
the hose clamp mount is solid - it is one of their warranted choices. the
front caliper mount is more an esthetic choice.
my esthetic choice was '$35 PIAA [plus about $10 of switches and relays],
or $350 Motolight?'
