Re: [ST] Service

It sounds like everything's as it should be. I purchased a leftover 2001
Speed Triple this past May, from a now defunct dealer in Springfield. MA.
That shop was primarily an Indian dealership, and the mechanic was not, in
my opinion, focused at all on the Triumph line. So I know what you're
saying when you had dealings with a crappy dealer. The bike had obviously
sat for a long time, and there a few minor issues with the bike as soon as I
took possession. I had a failure in one of the quick- connects for the FI
system (replaced the connectors with stainless ones from EZ Flow), but the
larger issue was that the bike never had the FI tune checked or updated.
Having the tune done, by Canton Cycles, made huge difference in the way she
ran- I thought the bike was fine, essentially, until the tune was updated- a
different bike afterwards. So obviously, for me, a visit to a competent
dealer was for that specific purpose was timely and beneficial.
