[ST] poor handling

Gary & All:
Sounds like the rear shock might be set incorrectly. I have suffered from this and found my rear shock was set at too soft a setting. The shock should be set at the mid point, six full turns (out of a12 max) when it leaves the factory. Sometimes some-one doesn't count correctly and a bike leaves at the wrong setting. Complete info is in your Owner's Manual. Take the time to read it.
Since you're a big man, I would start by following the setting suggestions listed in the Manual. Use a notepad to mark your settings/changes, so you can add comments and keep track of what you're doing. Go out for a ride and note the changes. Don't do anything radical, make your changes slowly and ride carefully.
All the best,
Howard Stephen Serlick
