I have had my RS for a little over a year now and had
never played with
the suspension settings. So this afternoon I thought I
would try setting them to the firm setting in the
manual (8mm showing on the forks, 8 turns out on rear
pre-load and 1.25 turns out on rear damper).

Andrew, this is the same setup I use on my RS for
"normal" riding. I'm very happy with it. On (rare)
long slab rides I soften up the rear a bit. I weigh
in at, gasp, about 205 lbs but hey that's with all my
riding gear on! Thanks for the tip about the 8mm
socket...much easier than a screwdriver.
