Maybe cam chain/valves? When you throttle off any excess slack can make the
cam chain tinkle.
Again, I'll bet that if the chain is changed the noise will go away. I
also thought that it was the cam chain and am still surprised that it went
away as soon as I replaced the drive chain. Cheap way to find out and a
performance / reliability boot to boot.
