Does that mean that all that was changed was the front sprocket? The FAQ
mentioned that a 17/43 gives better acceleration in 1st & 2nd, but leaves
the top end looking for a shift at highway speeds. I interpret that as
meaning that in 6th gear doing 75-80mph, the RPM's are high enough that the
bike wants another shift.
I was thinking of not only dropping my front sprocket down to 17, but also
bumping my rear up to 45. Would using a 17/45 instead of a 17/43 help on
the top end and still give better acceleration in 1st & 2nd? and if so what
would the 17/45 combo do to chain length?
