[ST] RE: st-digest V2001 #700 1 Battery Tender - 2 Batteries

In response to below, you need to be very carefull trying to charge 2 lead
acid batteries from one charger. The batteries must be of identical capacity
and condition (within a couple tenths of a volt of each other) or you will
most likely overcharge the one battery and undercharge the other in which
case you end up ruining both batteries. If you're contemplating doing this
with your car battery and your motorcycle battery for example, it's not
recommended. One of the local motorcyle dealers around here had the BT Jr
for $21 last year (I store 4 motorcyles during the winter, each have their
own Tender), buying 1 more is still less than a new battery and any other
damage that may occur from overcharging a battery.

After all this is said, best thing to do is check with the Battery Tender
Company to see if their Tenders are rated high enough to handle 2 identical
batteries, I doubt the Jr is but the full size Tender may handle it.

Someone else had mentioned earlier about using a regular battery charger.
The same holds true about charging multiple batteries as mentioned above but
more so since you are now charging at a much higher rate and could cause the
overcharged battery to burst (not a good thing!!).

The safest most effective way is one battery, one charger / tender.
