RE: [ST] Battery Tender

I went down to Sears and got myself a regular ol' charger that handles 12V
batteries and has trickle charge and automatic capabilities. I take my
battery out of the bike and put it on a shelf, with the charger below, per
reccomendations.

I don't know if the Battery Tender is useful on other applications than
motorcyles or if the cost of one is significantly different than a good
charger. I think I paid about $60 for my charger.

Any thoughts on if the Battery Tender is a better or same value as a
charger?

Do you leave the battery in the bike with the Battery Tender on it? Is this
the "smart" type battery charger? And, lastly, where is the best place to
get one? (I need 2 - 1 for the bike and 1 for the Camaro).
