Don't know about your 851 tank BUT,
I had a BMW K bike tank (Aluminum) fixed at a Land Rover specializing body
shop. They used an Al stud welder and welded a few studs to the outer skin
of the tank and just pulled the dent close to home, then a little bondo some
primer and it looked like new.
I asked around quite a bit before I stumbled on them. Autobody shops in
general didn't want to touch it and the paintless dent wizard places said it
was too thick.
Hope this helps.
Jay
