i ride a bike (my VX800) with a 280 watt alternator, with heated grips
(or electric gloves), electric vest, extra runnning lights both front
and rear, plus sidecar lighting (for a while -- i've since sold the
chair), and i've never had an electrical problem.

you'll be fine...
