Re: [ST] Dented tank

First of all Bill, sorry to hear of the tipover. The 851 is such a great
machine, you're a lucky guy.

I have a friend who also owns one. He recently had his totally rehabilitated
by BCM Ducati in Laconia New Hampshire (US). The owner of that shop, Bruce
C. Meyers, is an avid fan of the 851/888 series, so he's likely a great
source for your repair or replacement. My friend Graham has a CF tank on
his, and it's now built to near-WSB specs with Marchesini mags, CF
everywhere, upped compression and cams, lightened flywheels, awesome
brakes...money was no object in building his 851. BCM now has his classic
bevel-drive 900SS in restoration for vintage racing.

To reach them, check out; www.bcmducati.com Tell Bruce or his wife Susie
that the photographer Ken Mitchell and his friend Graham Pattison sent you.
For that, you'll get an honest "Oh....ok", and little else. :-)

Regards,

Ken M.
