Only the fact that the cover doesn't just cover the sprocket - it seals an
oilway. You need to drain the oil first, or accept loss of quite a lot of
oil when you open up (don't forget to top it up afterwards). Strictly
speaking you should also have a new oil seal ready too, though if you're
careful you can re-use the old one.
