That is exactly what you should do. And don't forget to work those
changes in the lower gears. During break-in it is so easy to get in the
habit of short-shifting out of 1st (in particular) that it never
properly gets broken in. I'm now in the habit of regularly running 1st
up to 7,000+ RPM before shifting into 2nd. And my tranny is like
buttah!

Yep, but break-in doesn't last long.
