    I'm pretty sure that the catalogue says that the Darien is more
waterproof.  From anecdotal evidence, water tends to get into the
Roadcrafter because it pools in the crotch and gets in through the zip;
the Darien's separate jacket and trousers eliminates this.

    As far as I can make out the Roadcrafter is designed primarily to
be easy to put on and take off, while the Darien is designed to be
waterproof.

    I've had a Darien jacket (not the trousers) for a couple of years
now, and it's kept me dry so far!
