    Jeez,... why didn't I think of that?  I'll try it before I talk
to my loan officer about the Heli-bars! I would still get the new
cable, though 
    With the (before Gen-Mar) ST bars, the old cable didn't raelly
have enough slack and over time the cable frayed right at the point
where the barrel for the lever attaches.
