You probably have a fuel leak. The third one on mine that started leaking
didn't create a puddle. But I noticed the vapor smell for a week before I
had a chance to bring it in. During that time I did notice a reduction in
gas mileage. I usually fill up around 200 miles, but it went down to 180 on
that tank.
