I had my tyre plugged by Bridge after a large "R" pin went through the rear
Bridgestone just off centre.  I was told as long as it's in the middle
portion then it should be ok to use as normal.  I did a further 4000 miles
on mine including some high speed stuff.

But don't come to me if you get problems.  You take your chances or pays
your money.

2 questions though: 1) how safe are plugs, really, and 2) has anyone else
had a puncture that early in the life of a tyre? I'm on BT020s, and I've
done about 2100 miles now.
