For what it's worth...
A friend recently bought a new 5 series BMW car. We were on a road trip
together, he in his new (read expensive) car and two of us on bikes. With
all this talk about our misreading speedo's I asked him to raise a hand when
he reached 70 mph. After doing this twice I was pleasantly surprised to note
that when he indicated 70, my ST read the same. So...either each of us is
off equally, or I may actually have a fairly accurate reading speedometer.
Odd thing is though, when driving around town in my truck at 60-65 mph, I
seem to be flowing right with traffic. But when doing the same on the ST,
traffic all seems to be going faster...like 70-75...which would lead me to
believe my speedo is reading high like everyone else's.
Oh well...
