Sigma 800

Greetings to all, I've been lurking for some time now, have a 96 Trident, 
which will be joined this spring by a new ST.  I installed the Sigma 800 on 
my bike, and have had a problem getting accurate speed readings.  Wheel 
circumference is 74 5/8", converts to 1894mm, and yet my speed readings are 
way off.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
