I've been wearing a pair of Alpinestar Tech Road boots for about 3 yrs. and
cannot compliment them enough. Probably over 40,000 mi. on several bikes,
and a lot of extreme camping (4 days in the mud at Sears Pt. this yr., 2
days at Natural bridge, etc.) wearing them 16 hrs. a day, rain or shine.
They have never leaked in any situation, nor have they made my feet sweat at
all, through the rigors of my desert riding. They may not be as pretty as
some, but they are damn comfortable if you have to walk around after you're
done ridin'. Evidently the Goretex lining has done it's job supremely
throughout my endeavors, and if I can wear them out, I'll be replacing them
with another pair (hopefully they still make 'em). I think I paid $220 for
them, but if guaranteeed the same quality and fit, I'd pay even more.
