More miles might do it. My Sprint, with cracked hugger, has just under
40,000 miles on it. The hugger has been on for about half of that, or
just about a year now - call it 20,000 miles.

The problem with the Triumph hugger is that the fender part is too
heavy for the support it has. There are two ways this can be
addressed:

1) Make the fender out of something lighter - that's what Jack Lilley
does with their carbon-fibre arrangement.

2) Extend the left side of the hugger to the chain guard all the way
back to the exit point of the brake line from the brake line channel.

Another option, of course, would be to use a material that is more
flexible than the ABS it's made out of. Unfortunately, doing that
would allow the hugger to contact the tire, possibly damaging both of
them.

Me, I made an additional brace for the cracked part, and will be
saving my pennies for a carbon one. That comes after I get the
panniers sorted out, though.
