I booked my ST in for it's 6000 mile service today, and asked whether it was
a good idea to have the valves adjusted. The reply was a distinct "no!". It
is unnecessary.

the 955 engine has shim and bucket valve adjustments, right? isn't
6000 miles awfully frequent for that kind of setup? i thought
one of the points of making them hard to adjust was that you didn't
have to do it as often... :-)
