Hate to point this out but you didnt have to pains
takenly take the time to pry out the old locks. All
you had to do was take the "remove the plate from the
bottom of the tumblers" one step further and remove
the old tumblers and insert the new tumblers. 

Been there done that? Dont feel to bad, I attempted to
do what you did at first....
