Re; The Long Haul

This is to all of you who have big miles and or have taken a long trip on
the beloved ST. (Paul & Dee).
I have around 8000 miles on mine and don't expect to put on many more before
June. In June I am going on a 5000 mile trip (appox.) to the STAR Rallye in
Avon, Colorado, bringing the total up to 13K. My questions are; other than
fresh oil, and tires what other maintence wouild you suggest? How many miles
are you getting out of the front tire? I had the 500 mile service done and
I'm planning on getting the 12,000 miler done when I return @ appox. 13,000.
Any thoughts, comments, suggestions would be helpful.
